Predicting The Next 5 WWE UK Champions

1. Will Ospreay

The big names must turn up eventually. Will Ospreay may currently be signed to ROH and New Japan, but it still feels more a case of 'when' as opposed to 'if' with regards to The Aerial Assassin and WWE. Ospreay is undoubtedly doing the right thing by perfecting his craft around the globe - when he eventually makes it to WWE, he could well be the best in the world.

That is if he stays healthy. Talk of Ospreay's physical condition seems to follow the man from Essex around like a bad smell, but much of it may well be hyperbolic. Ospreay is the only one who can talk of physical issues, and if there is a pro wrestler who doesn't wake up with bumps and bruises then they aren't doing it right. Will Ospreay has made a major name for himself wrestling the style he does - don't expect him to slow down any time soon.

Who knows what the professional wrestling landscape will look like by the time WWE crowns its sixth UK Champion? The belt may have been abandoned, or it may even be a full main roster championship. We simply don't know. Regardless, it is easy to close one's eyes and picture Will Ospreay with the title in his hands.

The man is going to win a whole heap of belts over the next few years - why not the WWE UK Championship as well?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
