Predicting The Next 5 WWE UK Champions

3. Jordan Devlin

There is something immensely 'WWE' about Jordan Devlin. The 27-year old Irishman isn't exactly the flashiest in the ring, but he has the fundamentals down and also has the poster-boy aesthetic that WWE seems to enjoy. Devlin was one of the few competitors in the WWE UK Championship tournament to stand out as a character too, bloodying Danny Burch in the first round before losing to Bate in the quarter finals.

Devlin was trained by Finn Bálor, and the similarities between the two are clear for all to see. Devlin isn't quite in Bálor's league (who is?), but it isn't hard to imagine a world in which Jordan Devlin is the irritating top heel in WWE's UK expansion. In many ways Devlin is like current NXT Champion Bobby Roode and (probable) future NXT Champion Adam Cole - he seems built for WWE.

With all that in mind it is somewhat surprising that Devlin is yet to make more appearances for WWE. Devlin is the perfect heel to steal the championship from the beloved veteran, and a cheap win over Haskins could be in Jordan Devlin's future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
