Triple H has proven something in his stint as booker: it's better to be boring than adventurous.

He has a sly way of avoiding criticism: do very basic storytelling that ends in a very good match. It's genius, really; he relies on the talent to do virtually everything and receives half of the credit. He telegraphed the life out of the GUNTHER Vs. Sheamus Vs. Drew McIntyre Triple Threat at the Royal Rumble, and failed to script a single promo or book a single angle that anyone will remember in the years to come, but the match will be excellent.

Turns out, the way to become a successful booker is to evade scrutiny. It's maddening.

The match will be awesome, of that there's no doubt. The chests of all three men will resemble mince after 20 gruesomely physical minutes. GUNTHER Vs. Sheamus was incredible at Clash At The Castle, and while this will suffer from the contrivance that is two wrestlers taking it in turns to work a singles match, if there's ever a combination of wrestlers that can justify a prolonged period of selling on the outside, it's these three.

The punishment administered will more than make up for how fake this genre all too often feels.

Predicted Star Rating: ★★★★¾
