Predicting The Quality Of All 13 WWE WrestleMania 39 Matches

6. The Usos Vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - Undisputed Tag Team Title Match

Cody Rhodes Roman Reigns five stars
WWE.com

This is likely to play out as WWE's version of what many consider to be the greatest tag match ever: Kenny Omega and Hangman Page Vs. the Young Bucks from AEW Revolution 2020.

That's the only route this can go, since the relationship between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso is complex. Jey doesn't hate Sami; he felt like he had to batter him because he is under the manipulative grasp of Roman Reigns. There will be much hesitation and inner conflict and the like.

It won't reach the Revolution standard because the action simply won't be as exhilarating. The Elite told a layered story of a complex relationship through the vehicle of state-of-the-art, incredible pro wrestling. The Usos Vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn won't be bad - there's a high probability that it will be excellent - but it might scan as an inferior version of something else.

It all depends on your personal tastes. That is the case with every wrestling match ever, but here, it's far more pronounced. The level and quality of ac-ting is polarising.

To some, it is "cinema".

To others, it is a cringeworthy and desperate bid to "tell a story".

★★★★¾ if it's a great WWE match, less than that if there's too much crying and or repressed emotion faces. There was some of the latter in the Revolution tag, yes, but WWE's slower pace and love of stalling might make it all a bit much.

Predicted Star Rating: ★★★★¼
