Predicting WWE's Top 10 Stars In 2020

8. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin becoming a top 10 player in four years could be more by default than anything. Just think, in four years Big Show is going to be retired, Undertaker will almost assuredly have had his last match, Kane will be 53 and likely retired and Braun Strowman will continue to not be a very good wrestler (if he’s around at all). That could potentially leave Baron Corbin as the big man of choice in Vince and Hunter’s mind. That would then equal a big push.

There are other giants out there waiting in the wings to be given a shot in NXT, and to eventually make the main roster, but there’s no obvious ones out there right now ready to come in and make a splash. Corbin could be what we’re stuck with for awhile, and that may not actually be too bad.

If you’ve seen him on Talking Smack, he a pretty decent talker when left to be himself. He seems to be a bit more nervous or uncomfortable when given a series of scripted lines on SmackDown, but perhaps he’ll improve in that area. In the ring he's fine, and there's nothing yet that's shown he couldn't eventually develop into a pretty solid talent.

This prediction could end up being embarrassingly off, but management certainly sees something in the big man, so don't expect him to be leaving anytime soon.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
