3. Kevin Owens Vs. Shane McMahon
Because someone has to wrestle the boss’ son, amirite?
Seriously though, it’s definitely looking like Owens is set for a match with Shane McMahon down the line, given his dissatisfaction with Shane booking him in a triple threat for his US title. And given that Shane has thus far only wrestled on the big four PPVs, it’s natural to assume that he’d be slotted for SummerSlam.
Given that Owens has already had a main-event run, it makes sense that WWE would slot him in a match with Shane, as it’s (at least in their minds) high-profile enough to get Owens over to the casual audience. Plus for Shane, like with his match with AJ, it gives him a skilled-enough worker to give him a good match without needing a variety of gimmicks or smoke and mirrors.
