It was pretty hard to believe Triple H when he appeared during that pre-Xmas 2018 address with the McMahons and said there'd be no automatic title rematches anymore. WWE lean on that idea like a crutch, and it gives the writers an easy way to fill up all those pay-per-views on the calendar.

Besides, WrestleMania 35 falls on 'Rusev Day'.

The most straightforward solution for the United States Title at 'Mania would be a repeat Fatal-4-Way. Last year, Jinder Mahal beat Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Rusev to bag the belt. At 35, replace Orton with Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder with AJ Styles and Roode with Mustafa Ali. Voila.

AJ will need another spot once he's finished warring with Daniel Bryan (which seems to be imminent and should, at the very latest, end at Elimination Chamber). Also, Ali deserves a chance to do something more than work the Battle Royal or be put back in the Cruiser mix.
