Predicting WWE’s WrestleMania 41 Cards - 1 Year Out
4. John Cena vs. MJF
Now isn't this something?
Rumours persisted that ex-AEW World Champion and promo artist extraordinaire (read: All Elite loudmouth) MJF would stun the pro wrestling world by showing up at WrestleMania 40. He didn't, and there's always a chance Friedman will return to business over on Tony Khan's side in 2024.
That all hinges on any deal being struck that offers suitable cash and satisfying creative. Look, MJF is going to WWE eventually. It's practically guaranteed, because he has the potential to be a bigger star there than in AEW. If so, then lil' Max would logically target someone who could give him a run for his money on the mic.
No, not CM Punk. We're talking John Cena. The Hollywood fave has been complimentary of MJF in the press, and John has also been yakking about one more run in WWE. Part of that run should include some 'Mania magic that sets Friedman up to take over the biz.
The back-and-forth verbal duels on TV would be worth it alone.
