Randy Orton Definitely Out Of WrestleMania 32
Ric Flair confirms "The Viper's" status on podcast.
On the latest edition of Ric Flair's "Wooo! Nation" podcast, "The Nature Boy" confirmed what wrestling fans had feared since last year - following shoulder surgery, Randy Orton will not be able to compete at WrestleMania 32. Orton, who has a history of shoulder and collarbone injuries, dislocated his shoulder in October of last year, forcing him to miss a scheduled match at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. He underwent surgery in November, with news quickly spreading that he would likely miss WrestleMania 32. After that, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer reported that Orton, once recovered, would need a second surgery for bone chips in his neck - and potentially even spinal fusion surgery, leading to a year-plus absence from the ring. Luckily for Orton, doctors later told him that he could hold off on the neck surgery. He's currently expected to return to action before May. This news comes less than a week after Cesaro confirmed he will miss WrestleMania. With those two superstars, Seth Rollins, and likely John Cena missing the event with injuries, Daniel Bryan having announced his retirement, and The Rock contractually unable to compete in a match at the show, WrestleMania 32 has required a great deal of restructuring over the past few months.
