Ranking 10 NXT Call-Ups That Must Happen

8. The Authors Of Pain - 4/10

The WWE can always use some huge, angry, terrifying men. The Authors of Pain don't really have anything more than that, but it could be enough. They're monster heels in the most old-school mould, complete with Paul Ellering as their mouthpiece. While there are more dynamic and experienced performers in NXT, few of them would have as obvious a role on the main roster as the AoP.

As gruesome undercard biffers they would have a clear purpose, and though they wouldn't trouble any title scenes for the foreseeable future it's entirely possible WWE will decide they need the AoP to bulk out one of the tag divisions.

The biggest obstacle to the AoP is their inexperience. Management may not be satisfied they're safe and trustworthy with the WWE style, and they have barely spoken for themselves at all. Theirs wouldn't be a star-making call-up, but in a pinch they could plug a creative hole the WWE realises needs filling.
