In a world of generic spangly leotards and pasted-on gimmicks, Ruby Riot stands out as a completely believable badass punk, a spiky and charismatic competitor who has gained traction with the knowledgeable NXT audience.
She has also had a number of outstanding matches, especially against Ember Moon. Her look is authentic enough to grab the attention of the punks and alternative types in the audience, for whom she could be what Bayley is to younger female fans.
Riot's a newcomer in NXT whose look and performances have seen her rise to a title challenger in short order and a vocal element in the crowd always gets behind her whenever she appears.
Once proven in the WWE's style and with some character work under her belt, she could become a cool alternative to cleaner-cut, less focused faces, especially with an aggressive streak that suits her image and gives her a dimension other faces lack.
