Ranking 10 NXT Call-Ups That Must Happen

6. Mauro Ranallo - 5/10

Mauro Ranallo's absence from the WWE's commentary tables was surrounded by an ugly haze of rumours about bullying and work environments that did the WWE no favours at all. This was an awful shame at the time as Ranallo's enthusiastic but knowledgeable and respectful commentary style had provided a shot in the arm for SmackDown.

Ranallo's return to NXT uplifted that show, too, and after a couple of episodes saw him gelling well with fellow commentator Nigel McGuinness (and ignoring Percy Watson).

NXT could be a stepping stone to bring Ranallo back onto the main shows and pay-per-views, in which case the WWE would have one of the best combat sports commentators in the business back behind the table.

It may be, on the other hand, that NXT is an environment much more pleasant for Ranallo, in which case he might stay there for the foreseeable future. It would be a loss for the main programming, but NXT viewers wouldn't complain.
