Ole might be an original, but who is the fourth Horseman when it comes to the WWE Hall of Fame? None other than ‘The Stalker’ Barry Windham. Windham joined the group by turning on Lex Luger in 1988 in what was something of a shock, losing the NWA Tag Titles in the process to Horsemen Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. It is this incarnation of the group that is generally considered the definitive Four Horsemen, running riot in the company from 1988 until Flair’s departure to WWF in 1991 (with a short break for Windham in the middle).

As a Horseman Windham won the NWA United States strap, holding it for a good nine months and defending against a whole host of challengers. His time with the Horseman (his second run at least) sort of fizzled out somewhat when Flair was fired and headed to WWF, but it is difficult to argue with the WWE Hall of Fame when it comes to the four definitive Horseman.

The Stalker gimmick was dumb as bricks though.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
