Ranking 15 Four Horsemen - From Worst To Best

11. Lex Luger

In many ways you could merely copy and paste the entry for Sting into this entry, in that Luger was often a major babyface for WCW and should have generally been on the opposite of the ring to the Horsemen. However, Lex Luger’s generally renowned as one of the least-trustworthy characters in wrestling history, so maybe he’s a better fit for the group than the Stinger.

Luger joined the group in 1987, replacing original member Ole Anderson. His tenure with the stable was highlighted by his United States title run, which started when he defeated Nikita Koloff in shady fashion and ended with a loss to perennial Horsemen rival, Dusty Rhodes.

If anything Luger’s greatest contribution to the Horsemen would come in 1988 after he left the group, Luger teamed with Barry Windham and would win the NWA World Tag Team Championship, only to lose the straps when Windham turned on Luger. Who did Windham join after this act? The Four Horsemen.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
