Ranking 22 WWE Debuts And Returns In 2021
5. Edge
Edge’s big comeback in 2020 was marred by the pandemic
wiping out his big, triumphant WrestleMania return, and then injury sidelined
him for the bulk of the year.
But the Rated-R Superstar kicked off 2021 the right way, entering the Royal Rumble at #1 and winning the whole damn thing, becoming just the third wrestler to do so. He went on to challenge for the WWE Universal Championship, but he lost at WrestleMania 37 to the juggernaut that is Roman Reigns. He would later lose a one-on-one match with the Tribal Chief at Money in the Bank
Edge also managed to have high-profile feud with Seth Rollins, and while some of the build was lacking, the matches were overall well-received and showed that he still had something left in the tank.
As the year closes out, Edge is currently feuding with Miz in a strange rivalry, but still one that is getting some attention. And regardless, Edge is still a draw with fans, so you’ve got to rate his return a success this year.
