Ranking All 12 WWE Champions Of The Decade (So Far)

11. Batista

Like former tag team partner Mysterio, Batista has also enjoyed just one reign with the WWE Championship in the 2010s. Having won the favour of Vince McMahon (after attacking the returning Bret Hart), The Animal was given a shock title shot immediately following the 2010 Elimination Chamber match. Batista defeated an exhausted John Cena, claiming only his second ever WWE Championship (having mainly pursued the World Heavyweight title in his glory days). His reign was a short one, lasting only 35 days until WrestleMania 26. Batista tapped to Cena's STF in the middle of the ring, before losing an I Quit rematch at Extreme Rules. He left the company shortly after to pursue a surprisingly successful acting career. Batista did, of course, return in 2014, winning the Royal Rumble and ensuring a spot in the WrestleMania 30 main event. He would again submit to a new champion, who will appear in greater detail later in this list.
