Ranking All 12 WWE Champions Of The Decade (So Far)
10. Alberto Del Rio
The first wrestler on this list to enjoy multiple WWE Championship reigns in the last five years, Alberto Del Rio would probably rather they'd been shoved together into a single, more extensive run. After cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, unceremoniously ending the 'Summer of Punk' angle in the process, Del Rio quickly fell victim to John Cena at the very next Pay Per View. He successfully won his rematch at Hell In A Cell 2011, but saw his victory totally overshadowed by the shocking interference of Miz and R-Truth. He retained the belt at Vengeance (again with help from Miz and R-Truth), before losing it to CM Punk after a combined 84 days as champ. Ultimately Del Rio will be remembered as nothing more than a transitional champion, and a scapegoat for the unrealised potential of CM Punk's first reign. A wrestler of his caliber certainly deserved more.
