Ranking All 12 WWE Champions Of The Decade (So Far)

12. Rey Mysterio

Without a doubt, the worst - and shortest - time spent with the belt in this decade belongs to Rey Mysterio. The unfortunate masked babyface won the World Heavyweight Championship after a heartwarming WrestleMania 22 victory, paying tribute to his legendary uncle in the process. Unfortunately, he was subsequently booked as a very weak champion, destroying much of his main event credibility. That was nothing though compared to his treatment in 2011. After renegade CM Punk took off with the WWE Championship following Money In The Bank, Rey won a tournament on Raw to crown a new legitimate champion. His first ever reign with the belt didn't even last until the end of the show, as a fresh John Cena issued a challenged to Mysterio later that night. Inexplicably this was accepted, and Cena duly beat Rey to claim his ninth title. The heelish nature of Cena's actions was never explored, and Mysterio was reduced to a footnote in the belt's illustrious lineage.
