The year 2000 featured some of the greatest WWF pay-per-views of all time, and this is one of them, despite the heart-wrenching finish. Cactus Jack's career ends after a war inside Hell in a Cell with Triple H, invoking fire, barbed wire, and stuntman bumping. The undercard sees the Attitude Era's continuing turn toward great wrestling, particularly Kurt Angle's Intercontinental title win over Chris Jericho, and another excellent Hardy Boyz match with Edge and Christian. The shocking twist of The Rock losing his WWF title opportunity to Big Show makes it more than just another stop-gap event. RECOMMENDED MATCH: Triple H vs. Cactus Jack, WWE Championship, Hell in a Cell. Helmsley continues to prove himself a worthy main eventer, and Foley gets the perfect sendoff (had it stayed that way).
