Ranking All 2015 WWE PPVs From Worst To Best

4. SummerSlam (August 23rd)

Best Match: Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker Worst Match: Team PCB vs. Team Bella Putting this show in this spot may be disagreeable for some because SummerSlam 2015 was the recipient of a mixed reaction. Some fans praised the show for the quality of wrestling while others were let down by the frustrating booking and finishes. I obviously fall on the side who thought highly of the show. The main reason for that is the Brock Lesnar/Undertaker battle. After WrestleMania 30 anticipation for a rematch between the two was at an alarming low and everyone expected another lethargic slog of a match that would underwhelm for a SummerSlam main event. Luckily for us, Taker took a dip in the fountain of youth prior to the show and was able to recapture some of that magic he'd been desperately missing in his last two forays into the ring. These two beat the sh*t out of each other and The Phenom took some earth-shattering bumps that had fans legit fearful for his health, which is the mark of emotional investment. In the end the bout was marred by the wonky finish with the confusion over who won and Taker technically avenging his streak-ending loss, but the 21 minutes that preceded that b.s. ending were incredible. Kevin Owens and Cesaro also pulled off a great match that showed the two men are capable of giving us classics with the right time and circumstances, something we'll hopefully see from them in the very near future. Rollins and Cena put on a monumental performance that was probably the best of their series thus far and even the Randy Orton/Sheamus clash managed to be impressive despite both guys being the wrestling personification of "meh." WWE loves their celebrities and Stephen Amell surprised everyone with his showing in the tag team match pitting he and Neville against Stardust and King Barrett. It was arguably one of the three greatest celebrity performance of all-time and was a fun addition to the four hour card. Even the divas match was acceptable, and until WWE takes the reigns off the ladies and lets them loose that's about all we can hope for. SummerSlam wasn't the landmark legendary card it's been known to be in the past, but this year's event was a fun show with some pretty great wrestling.
