Ranking All 21 WWE WrestleMania Intercontinental Title Matches

18. Road Dogg Vs. Ken Shamrock Vs. Val Venis Vs. Goldust (WrestleMania 15)

In the days before Vince Russo could be summarily mocked with the word 'swerve', a pointless switcharoo was set in the weeks before WrestleMania. Dogg and Billy Gunn captured the Intercontinental and Hardcore titles on Raw respectively, removing both men from their particular title feuds in a swap. The other three men in this match had issue with Gunn, not Dogg. Still, that was the least of the match's problems. In an era of rampant lawlessness and chaos, Shamrock and Venis somehow got counted out. Dogg later pins Goldust after a powerslam rollover to retain the title, after ten minutes of mostly generic brawling. To give you an idea of how bad WrestleMania 15 was, this was still good for the third or fourth best match of the show.
