Ranking All 28 WWE Royal Rumble Winners

20. Hacksaw Jim Duggan €“ 1988

WrestleMania title shot: N/A Hacksaw Jim Duggan never won any titles during his tenure in WWF/E, yet he remains one of the company€™s most popular stars. Probably his biggest claim to fame (other than carrying a 2x4 to the ring) is winning the inaugural Royal Rumble match in 1988. The Rumble back then was a brand-new concept, consisting of 20 men. The event itself was televised rather than put on PPV, and the Rumble match consisted mainly of midcarders rather than the main eventer-populated match it is today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYKsDkRNPc0 Despite this and the fact that there was no title shot awarded, nothing should take away from Duggan€™s signature WWF/E accomplishment. He deserves kudos for his place in history.

Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
