9. 2017 – Lesnar (C) Vs. Reigns Vs. Strowman Vs. Joe

Last year’s SummerSlam main event was a high-octane car crash of a match, with all four participants clicking just right.

Brock Lesnar entered SummerSlam as the defending Universal Champion, and with three challengers who individually were credible threats, you’d be forgiven if you thought that maybe they’d use this opportunity to cash in on Braun Strowman’s popularity or finally crown Roman Reigns as the new champ.

Instead, Brock would emerge victorious – and a year later, he’s still the champ.

The match itself was tremendously entertaining. It might not hold up quite as high over time, but going back and watching it again, it was hard not to be impressed how well all four men gelled. There were hardly any lulls, plus there was the added bonus of Braun abusing the announcers’ desks at Lesnar’s expense.

Don’t expect Sunday’s main event with Lesnar and Reigns to be on par with this one, though.
