Ranking All Of Goldberg’s WWE Return Matches From Worst To Best
8. Dolph Ziggler (SummerSlam 2019)
Meanwhile, this was just...random.
Dolph Ziggler was akin to hitting the square button on WWE video games and having the CPU decide an opponent for Goldberg. Hey, maybe that's what somebody did backstage before lining up this puzzling SummerSlam 2019 midcarder. Perhaps everyone should be thankful the randomiser didn't land on Curtis Axel instead.
Everyone watching SummerSlam knew Goldberg was going to spear, spear, spear the fake tan off Dolph's torso come the pay-per-view. There was no chance of a swerve here, and the only chance these boys had was to let Ziggler bump like he was Mr. Perfect in his prime.
Being fair, Dolph did fling his body around for Bill. The match came across as wholly pointless, but at least Goldberg got to look like a killer again after suffering through the indignity of that 'Taker clanger a few months beforehand.
Better than expected, but still nowhere near very good overall.
