Ranking Conor McGregors' Next Opponent From Least To Most Likely
4. Justin Gaethje
Gaethje has earned his spot opposite whoever he chooses in some people's minds, and Khabib has said McGregor will have to fight 'The Highlight' first before he tangles with Conor again.
It's a bout with 'Fight of the Year' written all over it too. Gaethje literally has more post-fight bonuses than he has fights in the UFC, while McGregor effortlessly collects bonuses like candy.
Justin had been very vocal about his anger at 'Notorious' being gifted another title shot when he has worked hard to gain a three fight win streak. His only two losses were extremely close fights where his body simply gave in from the sheer damage it absorbed.
Justin has become must-watch viewing, and has run through opponents with some serious power. If he and McGregor met in the cage, it's a fight that sells itself.
McGregor has simply stated Gaethje will get his time, but Justin seems to be on the edge of leaving the UFC as he is left in limbo while everyone else pairs up to fight.
Conor has said he wants to be active, and his 40-second destruction of Cerrone saw him leave the cage without a scratch, but he will need to sit around till April before he gets a shot at Khabib or Tony.
With Khabib wanting McGregor to gain more wins, McGregor stating he is fresh and wants a fight soon and the UFC looking to stop Justin going to another organization, Gaethje may be close to sealing the deal on this dream fight.
