Ranking Conor McGregors' Next Opponent From Least To Most Likely

5. Nate Diaz

One of McGregor's biggest rivals, Nate Diaz, is in a very difficult spot to be demanding anything.

Nate's coming off a loss, takes only big-name fights nowadays and no doubt will come with a heavy price tag. All of these play heavily against him getting a crack at the Irishman anytime soon.

Nate also has a habit of not fighting for large chunks of time as his notoriously difficult contracts struggle to be finalized.

McGregor seemed to be very excited for the match up at the UFC 246 post-fight conference stating 'Let's Go Nathan. Let's Go Brother!' with a cheeky grin.

His rematch with McGregor at UFC 202 was one of the best fights of the year back in 2016, delivering on the insane build-up to it. The two having one final throw-down in the cage at any weight is sure to break every record in the book.

In his last outing, Diaz got thoroughly dominated by Jorge Masvidal en route to a brutal third-round doctor's stoppage. He'll need to get back to his winning ways if he wants to lure 'Notorious' into a trilogy fight.

As it stands, this seems like a fight both men will have much closer to the end of their careers. If McGregor's planned opponent pulls out though, Nate will assuredly be the first one who steps up to the plate and tries to shock the world once more.
