While the memory of Orton’s first world title in over Christian remains slightly tainted, his second success - from SummerSlam 2011 - is rather more fondly-remembered.

Orton had surrendered the strap back to Christian at Money in the Bank 2011, in a match which stipulated that the title would change hands if the champion got himself disqualified. Predictably, Orton had been disqualified, but there was no risk of that come SummerSlam. Their match was held under No Holds Barred rules.

Various weapons featured throughout, including kendo sticks, trash cans and steel steps. There was also an array of teased table spots adding to the drama, culminating in Christian falling through one on the outside, taking an RKO onto another and eventually being power-slammed through a third.

After that kind of a beating, it’s little wonder that Orton won, especially after finally connecting with an RKO onto the steps as Christian dived from the middle rope.

That awesome finish was the icing on the cake of an awesome match from top-to-bottom - easily one of the greatest title wins of Orton’s career to date.
