10. Greatest Royal Rumble

The first of WWE's big Saudi Arabian shows was fine on a creative level. While the oodles of pro-government propaganda videos were as cynical as they were transparent, it largely delivered to the expected level as a large-scale house show played out before a colossal audience.

The sheer absurdity of a 50-man Royal Rumble provided much of the intrigue. It was a weird, weird affair. NXT no-names Babatunde and Dan Matha appeared out of nowhere. WWE brought in Japanese sumo Hirooki Sumi because their benefactors demanded the long-deceased Yokozuna, and he was the closest they could find. Daniel Bryan let Roderick Strong chop his chest to ground beef. F*cking Hornswoggle showed up. Braun Strowman won a giant green belt that hasn't been seen on TV since. The list of oddities goes on.

Best Moment: John Cena and Triple H take us back to the '80s with a minimalist display of everything pro-wrestling used to be. 'The Game' drew monster heat with a sneer, for crying out loud. That's crowd control.

Worst Moment: The Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns cage match yields a f*ck finish in one of the year's most eyeroll-worthy 'the feud must continue!' moments.
