Ranking Every AEW World Championship Match From Worst To Best

4. Jon Moxley Vs. Mr. Brodie Lee (Double Or Nothing 2020)

On paper, having Mr. Brodie Lee lose his first pay-per-view match since arriving in AEW could be classed as a terrible booking choice. Furthermore, the build towards his World Championship showdown with Jon Moxley at the second Double or Nothing was mediocre, at best.

Their match, on the other hand? Sheer excellence.

Having been hot-shotted into a World Championship angle with Mox, 'The Exalted One' had to go above and beyond to prove his worth against the champion, and boy howdy, did he ever. The artists formerly known as Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose were well aware of the criticism they had received in the weeks prior, so they worked such a stiff match that made you forget about the Internet's opinions for a solid twenty or so minutes.

The proof was in the pudding - they worked each other so stiff that Moxley literally couldn't stand on his own two feet at one point, all owing to Lee's onslaught. Of course, this didn't stop him from Paradigm Shifting Brodie through the ramp. Two further Paradigm Shifts, an excess of MMA-style brawling, and a Bulldog Choke left the Dark Order man motionless on the mat.

This match single-handedly helped establish Brodie Lee as a significant character in AEW after a dull debut.
