Ranking Every AEW World Championship Match From Worst To Best
12. Chris Jericho Vs. Adam Page (All Out 2019)
The very first one.
Chris Jericho and Adam Page's clash at All Out 2019 was the official birthplace of the AEW World Championship. A WWE veteran vs. a rising sensation who had solidified his worth on the independent circuit. It's a classic wrestling tale, really.
Unfortunately, the match was far too long than it needed to be. A whole 26 minutes was spent on the main event, something we didn't need to be seeing from the then-48-year-old.
That's not to say it was a bad match by any means, but because the quality of World Championship matches in All Elite Wrestling is at such a high level, it means even a decent can still end up in the bottom half of lists such as this.
'Hangman's' flurries of offence were the main highlights here, combatting the soon-to-be 'Le Champion's' slow, methodical pace. In all fairness to the seemingly ageless Jericho, he did have some impressive moments here, not looking a step out of place against the much younger Page, and he was arguably the correct first champion from a star power point of view.
Not every pay-per-view main events needs to go just shy of half an hour, though.
