Ranking Every AEW & WWE Show In 2021 From Worst To Best
2. AEW | Full Gear
Full Gear saw the debut of Jay Lethal, who challenged Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship the following week, as well as the culmination of a three-year story arc involving Kenny Omega and 'Hangman' Adam Page.
While the main event was an outstanding display of storytelling and athleticism, the rest of the card had some stand-out moments.
MJF and Darby Allin started the night off with a barnburner of a match which was deeply rooted in the idea of the four pillars of AEW. While those two did battle, Jungle Boy teamed up with Luchasuarus and Christian Cage to defeat Adam Cole and the Young Bucks in a brutal match that saw the boy become a man. Sammy Guevara helped his teammates in the inner circle beat American Top Team who were paired up with Scorpio Sky and Ethen Page.
Eddie Kingston and CM Punk did battle in one of the most hotly anticipated matches of the night, being built over the course of just a few weeks, the two men showing why they are the best talkers in the business. Tay Conti had a great showing against AEW Women's Champion Britt Baker D.M.D. and of course, Bryan Danielson beat Miro to face the newly crowed AEW Champion Adam Page.
