4. Brock Lesnar Vs. Kurt Angle (2003)

From a storyline perspective, Lesnar’s lengthy feud with the Undertaker is probably the most noteworthy of his career. But from a purely technical standpoint, he’s arguably never had a better rivalry than the one he shared with Kurt Angle in 2003.

And at that year’s SummerSlam, Lesnar and Angle once again provided that the pair are seemingly incapable of putting on a bad show together.

In the weeks leading up to this one, a respectful face versus face vibe soon degenerated into something more sinister. Brock would embark on the rampage of all rampages, tearing through the likes of Zach Gowen and Spanky and making the smearing of his opponent's blood across his chest something of a signature move of his.

But it was back to a more purist style come SummerSlam, with an array of mat-wrestling and suplexes back on the agenda. This was also the site of Lesnar’s incredible one-legged F5, as well as one of his very few tap-outs in WWE history, as Angle claimed victory thanks to the Ankle Lock.

It feels kind of wrong to be placing a Kurt Angle match so low down on this list, especially when it was as impressive as this one.

Admittedly, though, it wasn’t quite as good as their meeting from WrestleMania a few months prior, or their subsequent Iron Man match on SmackDown—but it was still a pretty top-draw showing nonetheless.
