Finn Bálor has only ever wrestled one tag team match as The Demon under the WWE banner, and it just so happened to be the debut of The Demon at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution.

After suffering weeks worth of beatdowns at the hands of The Ascension, Hideo Itami found an ally in Bálor on NXT in late 2014. This may look like a mismatch on paper now, but The Ascension were quite the dominant force at that point, coming off their near-year long reign as NXT Tag Team champions.

Of course, this was a complete showcase for the new international recruits. They ran through Konnor and Viktor with ease, hit their signature spots, and went over in decisive fashion. Nothing pretty about this bout aside from Bálor's sick-looking body paint.

In fact, he elicited a "This is awesome!" chant before the bell even rang because of his electrifying entrance alone. That was when fans knew he was onto something special, despite him already doing it for years over in Japan.

Nevertheless, it was now significantly cooler thanks to WWE's amazing production levels as well as all the pomp and circumstance surrounding it. But, yeah, as a match, this was solid stuff and the sense of urgency all four men worked gives it a slight edge over the previous matches listed.
