8. Vs. Samoa Joe (NXT TakeOver: The End)
NXT TakeOver: The End in June 2016 featured, as the title suggests, the end of the heated feud between Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe. They had been waging war over the NXT Championship for months leading up to this encounter, but a Steel Cage match was the only way for them to determine who the superior athlete truly was.
Granted, it paled in comparison to their other outings, but it was still a strong effort from both men. They effectively utilized the steel surrounding them and pulled everything out of their respective arsenals in an attempt to put the other away.
The Demon nearly had the match and the title won on a few occasions, but Joe wasn't going to let the gold slip from his grasp so easily. He powered back against his archrival and finished him off with a devastating Muscle Buster off the side of the cage to put their rivalry to rest once and for all.
The Samoan Submission Machine can forever say he was the first (and so far the only) person to defeat The Demon in a WWE/NXT ring, and it doesn't look like anyone else is going to be repeating that feat any time soon.
