10. Vs. Tyler Breeze (NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable)
As seen at NXT TakeOver: XXV, Tyler Breeze is a talent the main roster took for granted and never used to his full potential. He's now back where he belongs on the black-and-gold brand mixing up with the best of the best.
Before his recent rivalry with Velveteen Dream, one of Breeze's last major feuds in NXT was with Finn Bálor. The two were originally set to clash in a Triple Threat match also involving Hide Itami at TakeOver: Unstoppable in May 2015 with the winner earning a future shot at the NXT Championship. Once Itami was revealed to be hurt, however, it was changed to a standard singles matchup between Bálor and Breeze.
This entertaining opener featured plenty of back-and-forth action and set the tone for the rest of the event nicely. Breeze suffering yet another loss on one of these TakeOver specials was hardly a surprise, but the win lent credibility to Bálor as a star on the rise and cemented his spot in the NXT Championship picture.
It was far from a show-stealer, mind you, but the crowd was white hot for The Demon the entire time and were happy to see him reign supreme.
