Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best

8. Bam Bam Bigelow

Now, it might seem a little unfair to be placing Bam Bam Bigelow so high on this list, because all in all he only won one ECW World Heavyweight Championship in a reign that lasted just 45 days.

However, what sets Bigelow apart from many of his peers is the fact that he was an absolute workhorse in terms of the number of defences he managed.

Between becoming champion on Oct. 16, 1997 and losing the belt at November to Remember the following month, Bigelow laid the belt on the line on 13 separate occasions within a span of just 45 days. On average, that meant that every three to four days he was putting the title up for grabs, and sometimes he even defended the belt as often as thrice a week.

Some former champions didn’t manage that many defences over the course of an entire career, let alone a seven-day period, and so while Bigelow's reign may not have been one of the longest in history, it was a whole lot busier than most.
