Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best
9. Don Muraco
Back to the territory of two-time champions, and here we have another former WWE star in the shape of Don Muraco.
Interestingly, Muraco’s career enjoyed a similar trajectory of that of the aforementioned Tito Santana; a pair of Intercontinental title wins but nothing more in the WWF, before a switch to pastures anew in ECW yielded World Heavyweight Championship success.
Muraco’s first reign began in September 1992 when he defeated Jimmy Snuka, but after successful defences against Nikolai Volkoff and Snuka once more, it was brought to an end after 47 days by ECW’s resident Sandman.
The second stint, on the other hand, was far more impressive. Muraco got his win back from the Sandman and embarked upon a 127-day reign, and although there weren’t too many noteworthy defences in there, it’s the longest we’ve seen on this list so far.
