Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best

6. Terry Funk

Next we have another former ECW champ who fully lived up to his name—though in rather different circumstances, given that his was a name of bona fide wrestling heritage.

In total, Terry Funk would accrue two ECW Championships, the first of which arrived after he defeated Sabu in a No Disqualification match at Holiday Hell 1993. That set in motion a 90-day reign, before he lost the belt to Shane Douglas in a hectic Ultimate Jeopardy cage match.

Over three years later though, the ageless Funk was back for more. At the ripe old age of 53, he secured his second ECW World Heavyweight Championship when he beat Raven at Barely Legal in April 1997. Not only was this reign lengthier at 118 days, but it also yielded far more defences, including further wins over ECW icons Raven, Shane Douglas and Sabu.

When all's said and done, it only seems right that a hardcore legend like Terry Funk would enjoy such success as the world champion of a company like ECW.
