Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best
13. Steve Corino
Earlier we touched upon Steve Corino’s Double Jeopardy victory that ended Jerry Lynn’s reign—a win that would jump-start Corino’s one-and-only run as ECW World Heavyweight Champion.
All in all, it was actually a fairly eventful time with the belt. Or at least, more so than many of this list’s previous entrants.
Over a 63-day period, Corino would defend the ECW title on a gamely six occasions, including a pair of victories over the Sandman as well as a top-notch Three Way Dance versus Jerry Lynn and Justin Credible at the Massacre On 34th Street PPV.
Though he’d go on to lose the belt to the Sandman in a wordy Three Way Tables, Ladders, Chairs & Canes match, his prolific record of eight title bouts in just over two months made him a true fighting champion.
