Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best

While you could argue that the likes of Rhino, Dreamer and Lynn were each deserving of more top-tier success during their time in ECW, I’m not sure you could say the same about our next entry on this list, Johnny Hotbody.

Still, that doesn’t change the fact that Hotbody was the first-ever ECW Triple Crown champion, a feat that was set in motion in April 1992 when he won the ECW world title.

Hotbody went on to hold the belt for 79 days, which admittedly isn’t as long as Rhino later managed, but crucially Hotbody managed three subsequent title matches to Rhino’s tally of two.

It’s the finest of margins but it’s enough to see Hotbody sneak ahead on this particular list. Although, given that the third of those three title defences ended in defeat, perhaps I’ve been rather generous with this ranking…
