Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best
12. Sabu
Finally, we have our first multi-time champion, and it arrives in the form of Sabu.
It was the first of his two reigns that looks most impressive on paper, with Sabu holding the championship for 85 days after beating Shane Douglas at the aptly-named Bloodfest event in October 1993.
After a couple of successful defences against Taz—then competing as the Tazmaniac—Sabu would lose the belt to Terry Funk before being made to wait almost four years for his next taste of top-tier glory. Fittingly, it was Funk who Sabu would defeat this time around for a long-awaited dose of revenge, although that was about as good as it would get with the reign lasting a mere eight days.
Even so, his record of two separate ECW Championship wins puts him a step ahead of the crop of one-hit wonders who’ve featured on this list thus far.
