11. Jimmy Snuka

During his years in the World Wrestling Federation, Jimmy Snuka didn’t win a single major title. And yet, it’s his work in New York for which he’s best-remembered, despite the fact that with ECW he helped himself to a pair of World Heavyweight Championship wins.

Furthermore, he was in fact the first person to ever hold the belt, defeating Salvatore Bellomo in April 1992 to become the inaugural ECW Champion. The story then came to a fairly sharp end though when Snuka would lose the belt the following day to the aforementioned Johnny Hotbody, but he atoned for this loss on Jul. 14 when he reclaimed the belt to kick-start his second world title run.

At 78 days, that stint lasted far longer than the first (78 times longer to be exact) and although Sabu eclipses him in terms of total days spent as ECW Champion, Snuka ranks higher due to the historical significance of his maiden world title reign.
