https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpNvzpPlLNI The Spear has been a legitimate, and cool looking finishing move since Goldberg made it popular in the late 90s. The problem is, no one has done it as well as he has since. Part of the reason he made it look so real, though, is because he was overly stiff when ramming into his opponent! After Goldberg's run in WWE, other wrestlers took the move on as their own, to mostly mediocre success. Edge's version appeared like he kind of fell down with his opponent, Big Show's is about as un-athletic that you can get, and Christian's looked like a running hug. Say what you will about Roman, but he does have the ability to make the Spear looking pretty solid. The crowd also reacts (good or bad) when he's setting up for it, so it's at least over with a lot of fans.
31. Charlotte: Figure Eight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HR7AQF1AdAg Impressive for Charlotte is the fact that she's essentially able to take a Figure Four leglock, and actually make opponents tap out to it! Her father wasn't able to pull that off since the early 80s! Would twisting your body the way that Charlotte does actually make the move any more painful? Hard to say, but it looks cool!
30. Dana Brooke: Samoan Driver
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCTWnnlsbLs It's highly likely Dana Brooke will give her finishing move its own name, but since it's a Samoan Driver, we'll go with that for now. The Driver is an impressive power move, most well-known over the past few years as TNA and ROH's Chris Sabin finisher the Cradle Shock. Now it has arrived in NXT. Dana is incredibly strong, but she's still very green in the ring. Her smoothness at performing her moves, including her finisher, should only get better with time. As for now, she does a good job of hoisting her opponent over her head with ease and slamming her to the match.
29. Becky Lynch: Dis-Arm-Her
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vio5nlZNnZ8 One of the newest members of the main roster, Becky Lynch, is already off to a great start. Originally down in NXT, she used The Four Leg Clover (Get it, because she's Irish? Yeah, that's not funny), and then moved over to an arm submission, because stereotypes aren't cool! What really works for the Dis-Arm-Her, is that it's a believable move that would be incredibly painful in real life. Much like Alberto Del Rio making a cross armbreaker exciting, Lynch has done wonders turning a variation of the Fujiwara armbar into a entertaining pro wrestling submission that is legitimate.
28. Apollo Crews: Standing Moonsault
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAoftb_XrYo Apollo Crews is one of the newest members of the WWE/NXT roster, so his standing moonsault may not remain his long-term finisher, but for now, it certainly gets the job done. The former Uhaa Nation is an incredible athlete, as very few wrestlers his size can move around the ring quite like he can. You'd expect to see the standing moonsault from smaller guys like Kalisto and Neville, but the way Crews jumps and twists in the air is majestic in its own way.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
