Ranking Every Goldberg Match In WWE Since His 2016 Return
10. Vs. The Fiend: Super Showdown 2020
When Bray Wyatt returned to WWE television in 2019, The Fiend was one of the most entertaining and fresh gimmicks fans had seen in recent memory. This new character was another example of the skill that Wyatt brought to every opportunity given to him throughout his time in wrestling.
Once The Fiend returned to the ring, the leader of the Firefly Fun House was built up as an unstoppable monster, destroying every wrestler put in his way en route to winning the Universal Championship. While the reaction was purely negative, only a few months prior, The Fiend was nearly killed by an endless barrage of weapons shots and Curb Stomps by Seth Rollins, only to kick out every time.
That all changed in Saudi Arabia, as one Jackhammer later and the Universal Championship reign of The Fiend was over. While the result may not have been surprising given WWE's treatment of Goldberg, it was just another example of WWE leaning on the stars of the past over their current roster. The only thing ranking this match above Goldberg’s dispatching of Kevin Owens was that The Fiend was at least able to get some offense in.
