Ranking Every Hell In A Cell Match In WWE History - From Worst To Best
27. CM Punk Vs. Ryback & Paul Heyman
As a general rule, adding Paul Heyman to any equation usually changes things for a better. This next entry provides a great example of that, though it may be more of a coincidence than anything.
At Hell in a Cell 2013, the tables were turned as CM Punk, now the face, once again took on Ryback, now the bully-type heel, who also had Heyman to call on for support. Of course, Heyman would spend the whole match on top of the Cell and safely out of harm’s way.
Meanwhile, beneath him, Punk and Ryback just about outdid their work of 12 months’ prior, making things a little more extreme with at least one table spot this time around.
In hindsight this was something of a valiant effort, given that it was a beaten, broken and barely motivated Punk. His post-match beatdown on Heyman atop the Cell was arguably the highlight, but not quite enough to save this encounter from Hell in a Cell mediocrity.
