Ranking Every Major CM Punk AEW Match - From Worst To Best
3. Vs Samoa Joe (All In 2023)
In what eventually would become 'The Best in the World's final-ever All Elite performance, CM Punk collided with one of his greatest enemies in front of 81,000 screaming fans in a match where he generated heat by channelling his inner Hulk Hogan and John Cena. Wonderful stuff.
Again, much like a few of the other entries on this list, a lot of this captivating work was swiftly forgotten about thanks to the serious behind-the-scenes explosion that went down in the moments leading up to the pairs' entrances.
And that's a real shame as Samoa Joe in particular put in one of his finest All Elite shifts to date on the Wembley All In stage, looking like both the biggest killer in the company as he dumped Punk into an announce desk and a ball of must-see charisma when shrugging off his rival's ringside dive with a "w*nker" gesture.
You were watching two all-timers having the time of their life.
Punk managed to annoy half a stadium with a punchable grin, and Joe was all too happy to deliver the wince-inducing ass-kicking those same folks were crying out to see.
Despite the big lad Joe-ing up, though, one final All Elite Pepsi Plunge was enough to ensure Punk still walked out of London - and the company - as the "Real" World Champion.
