2. Vs MJF (Revolution 2022)

There's a reason many would be quick to throw CM Punk and MJF's extraordinary Dog Collar conclusion at Revolution 2022 to the top of their own 'Chick Magnet' in AEW lists.

And the fact it didn't quite manage to beat out another gripping one-on-one war here takes absolutely nothing away from an ending that became the blood-soaked cherry on top of the mesmerising sponge that had been expertly made over the last few months.

Punk's "Miseria Cantera" rousing introduction set the tone from the start.

MJF had pushed the icon to a place he hadn't been in decades, and what came next was a suitably ruthless display from both men as the two whipped the hell out of each other with their chains and extracted every ounce of drama possible out of a floor full of excruciating thumbtacks.

But it was 'The Salt of the Earth's desperate cries for Wardlow late in the day that turned an already classic finale into something truly outstanding.

Rather than hand Maxwell the trusty tool to defeat his butchered rival that he had a few weeks earlier, Wardlow brilliantly could not find the Dynamite Diamond ring in time for his boss to keep from getting GTS'd onto those aforementioned tiny pieces of hell.

But what do you know, he finally figured out where it was shortly after, dumped it on the apron for Punk to win the day with and wandered off down the ramp - and out on Maxwell - looking like the next big thing.

Majestic.
