This is quintessentially NXT post-2019.

The match will be great. Nobody is saying the match won't be great. This doesn't make NXT great. NXT just increasingly uses its resources to hire great wrestlers.

There's a champion. Somebody attacks the champion without the win/loss record to arrive at it with any degree of cohesion. This leads to a match.

There's no hatred, emotion, drama, mystery, intrigue, no discernible entertainment value of any kind - just "Hey these guys are taking turns to fight ahead of a match".

Unacceptably drab and formulaic.
