13. The Undisputed Era Vs. The Kings Of NXT

This peaked at WarGames in a very good match that exhausted the story, with its marathon duration and over-the-top violence, and it was just as well. It was the end. The babyfaces won.

Except it isn't the end. Pete Dunne with zero claim - he was recently beaten by Kyle O'Reilly in a #1 contender's match - up and challenged Finn Bálor. It's a battle between two men who built brands, or something. Right, but it's also a battle between a champion and an unconvincing challenger, which is rather more important than Triple H pretending that NXT UK is anything worth boasting about.

Overlapping with the Kings of NXT Vs. UE feud, in that Bálor appears to have aligned with the latter group having forged a connection with O'Reilly out of respect, it's all a bit circular and messy - look at the numbers advantage, and how it shouldn't be in favour of the babyfaces - than elegant in scope. This might turn into something good, if Roderick Strong subverts his role at TakeOver: New Orleans.

But Pete Dunne as a challenger is still predictable and unconvincing.
