Ranking Every Men's WWE Royal Rumble Match Of The 2010s
7. 2013
One could make a case for all the previous matches on this list being terrible. One could say that we would have been better off not having witnessed them, and one could even go so far as to say that they shouldn't have happened in the first place. However, they all had one (somewhat) redeeming quality - they were memorable. Granted, they were memorable for being sh*t, but at least we can all look back and remember a moment or two from them that truly captivated us as fans.
The 2013 incarnation of the Royal Rumble match has no such moment. The closest thing we have is an admittedly hilarious spot between Daniel Bryan and Kane that resulted in both of their eliminations, but at the end of the day this match is most remembered for its predictability.
That being said, there were some seriously impressive individual performances in this match - both Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler lasted almost 50 minutes, with the former making an exhilarating return as the surprise second entrant.
Despite the presence of so much young talent, it wasn't enough to prevent a John Cena victory that would lead to the rematch that nobody asked for. This would prove to be the beginning of WWE's mid-2010s Rumble slump.
